WATERWELL

It is the best charity

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was asked,

“Which charity is the best?”

He replied,

“(Providing) water”.

We build water wells in many countries

We have focused on building water wells since the beginning of EMF’s foundation, and it is one of our areas of expertise. We usually place the water well outside a mosque to make it more accessible to the villagers, as this is often the natural social centre of the village.

Most of these villages are located in areas with little to no access to clean water, and residents must walk long distances to obtain water. One water well can accommodate up to 500 people at once and meet their needs for drinking water, sanitation, and ablution (Wuḍūʾ).

ww

We prioritise the construction of a high-quality water well that will serve the village for many years. We install an automatic water pump system with a water pressure system so that the villagers do not have to struggle to pump water.

We also install a tank of 1500–2000 litres to ensure that the villagers have a good and reliable water supply. Finally, we build ablution (Wuḍūʾ) facilities for the villagers to ease their prayers.
